This does fit in well with both canon and non-canon aspects of the Star Wars universe. I do like how R2-D2 is rendered, as well as Bail Organa. I'm not that familiar with the other woman, but the young Leia left me a little mixed. You can see determination in her face, and her body language, and the eyes seem correct enough to match a young Carrie Fisher, but the eyebrows look a little off in comparison. Not a lot, but a little bit (I'm going to guess her eyebrows are a little too arched).
The overall piece is wonderful and is a very good art piece for Star Wars art! The body language for all the characters fits well and this is a highly original piece. There are very few art pieces that address Leia between her being an infant and being one of the leaders of the Rebellion as a young adult.
This has a close look to concept art I've seen for the Star Wars movies over the years. The technique, a combination of different approaches, is nicely done. It leaves enough of an impact to wow me.
